Miriam De Francisco
Dean of Musical Theater
Miriam Hernandez De Francisco, founder of BBharts, leads the Musical Theater Department with over 25 years of experience as an educator, director, and performer. A graduate of New World School of the Arts, she has trained and mentored students who have gone on to Broadway, national tours, and top collegiate theater programs. Her passion is shaping versatile, industry-ready performers by combining rigorous training with a deep love for storytelling and the performing arts.

Elizabeth Nuevo
Dean of Dance
Elizabeth Nuevo is a respected leader in the dance community, founder of Artistic Dance Center in Doral, Florida, and director of the Artistic Dance Theater nonprofit company. With a philosophy centered on hard work, discipline, and the artistry of dance, she has led her teams to national titles and helped students succeed both on and off the stage. As Dean of Dance, she brings decades of teaching, coaching, and leadership experience to inspire the next generation of dancers.

Maria Helan
Acting Coach
Maria Helan is a professional actress, voice-over artist, and acting coach with over two decades of experience in the performing arts. A graduate of the prestigious New World School of the Arts in Miami, she has built a dynamic career in New York City, performing Off-Broadway and lending her voice to major brands, including over 20 years as the Spanish voice of Maybelline. As an acting coach, Maria brings her deep understanding of theater, voice, and performance to inspire young artists, helping them build confidence, refine their craft, and bring authenticity to the stage and screen.

Carlos Rafael Silva
Director of Music
Carlos Rafael Silva is a celebrated Venezuelan tenor and music director known for his rich career in opera and classical music. A graduate of the Conservatorio Superior de Música Simón Bolívar and the Conservatory of the City of Vienna, he has performed major roles in operas such as La Traviata, Turandot, and Carmen, and worked with renowned artists like Plácido Domingo and Nikolaus Harnoncourt. His career spans performances across Europe and Latin America, and he recently expanded into directing with the acclaimed 2024 production ¿Y Cómo Fue? Una Historia de Benny Moré. As Music Director, Silva brings exceptional artistry, experience, and passion to his work, inspiring the next generation of musicians.

Emmanuel Perez
Vocal Coach
I currently teach in New World School of the Arts, and I hope to contribute to my students a skillset that allows them to deliver their message effectively. Not only that but I am excited to mentor students on the concept of discipline, and how it can be one of the strongest tools in the world to achieve anything you can think of. I also hope to contribute an environment of empathy and trust within a team of students, but also to the roles and missions they are in.

Noemi De Francisco
Jazz
Noemi De Francisco is a vibrant jazz dancer, choreographer, and instructor whose energy, precision, and passion light up every class she teaches. A lifelong performer with extensive training in jazz, Noemi combines strong technical foundations with a bold, dynamic performance quality. As a teacher, she inspires her students to develop sharp technique, stage presence, and the fearless confidence needed to excel both in class and onstage.

Destiny Diaz
Contemporary
Destiny Diaz is an accomplished contemporary dancer, choreographer, and instructor known for her dynamic movement style and passionate approach to teaching. With a strong foundation in both classical and modern techniques, Destiny brings a fresh, innovative energy to the classroom, inspiring students to explore emotion, storytelling, and versatility through contemporary dance. As a teacher, she focuses on building strong technical skills while encouraging individuality and authentic artistic expression.

Julie Avellaneda
Support Counselor
Our Counselor supports students' academic, personal, social, and emotional development throughout their educational journey. They help students set academic and career goals, develop effective study habits, navigate personal challenges, and build the confidence and skills needed for success in and beyond school. Through one-on-one meetings, group sessions, and collaboration with parents and teachers, the counselor creates a safe, supportive environment where students can explore their interests, overcome obstacles, and reach their full potential.

Academic Supervisor
The Academic Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and supporting the academic progress of Conservatory students. This role includes monitoring grades, ensuring students meet curriculum requirements, providing academic advising, and coordinating tutoring or additional academic support when necessary. The Academic Supervisor works closely with students, parents, and academic providers to track performance, enforce academic standards, and create action plans for success, ensuring that every student remains on track for graduation and academic excellence.
